An experienced theater director and choreographer, Patricia Norcia has staged numerous equine theatrical shows, quadrilles and Pas de Deux.
Many of Patricia's projects are available for other bookings. Or, if you are considering creating an artistic project with horses, she can consult with you on how to accomplish your event. Patricia has worked with horses in film, theatre, opera, and dance.
For over a decade, she has been the Equine Director for JoAnna Mendl Shaw's Equus Projects, Dancing with Horses Company, performing from New York City’s Liberty Park to Vermont’s Shelbourne Museum.
With producer Andrea Steele, Patricia choreographed and directed the music video “HE’S MINE”, which won second place at the Equus Film Festival.
In opera, her production of CARMEN with the Connecticut Opera Theater, combined Iberian horse and rider pairs dancing to the music of Bizet with an intimate ensemble of opera singers.
In theatre, and most recently, she teamed with director David Kaplan, staging the play LISTEN TO ME, written by Gertrude Stein and starring Kathleen Turner in the title role. This production performed at the FITS Festival in Romania in June, 2025.
For more details on these performances, see the Artistic Projects page.
Her husband, Duncan Robert Edwards, is a Sound Designer focused on special projects in the areas of theater, broadcast, and equine events.
